Taking a tenant to court for damages

Hi, I had a tenant that moved out a year ago, she tore up floors, put holes in all interior doors, did a loft conversion without permission and even moved the property line to name a few.
It has now reached the £8000 mark in repairs. She did not show up for the checkout, wouldn't answer my calls or text messages....not a surprise really!
I had no forwarding address for her and it has taken me this long to locate her because of data protection. Can I still take her to court for damages a year on?
