Welland Media Limited is sole owner of website www.propertyhawk.co.uk or Property Hawk. Property Hawk enables the visitors of its site www.propertyhawk.co.uk, to be in control of their personal data. We also provide controls that allow our users/customers to have control over the privacy of personal data that is captured by our service. This Privacy Policy provides information about how we process and protect this data.

Property Hawk considers data protection and privacy to be of paramount importance. We never sell personal data and we carry out all processing operations in strict compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) (specifically but not limited to Article 6(1)(b) to (f) and Article 28).

What information do we collect?

When you register with our Site, we will collect your name, address and e-mail address.  If you register to use the Property Manager we will also collect details relating to the property under management and your details as a landlord.

PropertyHawk.co.uk collects the registration data and the property management data inputted by a site user into the property management software, Property Manager. The site also collect any data inputted by a user into any online forms or enquiries.

We also monitor customer traffic patterns and site use using Google Analytics software, which helps us to understand how to improve the service we provide.

What do we do with the information?

We will use the information provided by you to promote a more personal Service. Some of the information is required to provide specific functions on the Property Manager. We are required by the Data Protection Act 1984 to follow strict procedures to protect customer information.

Cookies

We use cookies to ensure that we give you the best experience on our website. This includes cookies from third party social media websites if you visit a page which contains embedded content from social media. Such third party cookies may track your use of the Property Hawk website. If you continue without changing your settings, we’ll assume that you are happy to receive all cookies on the Property Hawk website.

Email marketing

We will use your email address to send you email marketing (including our newsletter, information about news and information that we think is important to being a landlord and buy-to-let where you have signed up to receive this from us.

You can opt out of receiving marketing emails at any time by either following the instructions to unsubscribe in any of our email marketing communications or by changing your preferences in the ‘Settings’ section of your Property Manager account.

If you opt out of email marketing, we may still need to send you service communications by email from time to time, such as information about changes to our services.

Use of your information and your preferences

We will use your information to help us provide you with a better and more personal service. We will also use your contact details to communicate with you. We will use your email to send you information that we see as helpful and informative. We may contact you by post, email, telephone or fax for these purposes. If you wish not to receive this information we will enable you to select to cancel this service.

As soon as you register with PropertyHawk.co.uk, you will be able to access a Profile page that will give you complete control as to which, if any, of these communications you wish to receive.

To change your contact profile, simply login to the Property Manager and go to the My Details page (PM3 & PM3.0s) or the your Profile page on the Operations tab (PM2). If you do not want to receive commercial communications from us, please select your choices by using the boxes available on that page.

We like to hear your views to help us improve our service. From time to time, we may contact you by post, email, telephone or fax to ask your opinions. Again, if you do not want to be contacted for this purpose, please make your choice on the My Details / Profile page.

Please note that there may be instances where it may be necessary for us to communicate with you, in any event, for administrative or operational reasons relating to our service.

Disclosures of your information

Your personal data may be passed to other people when you specifically instruct us to do so. Otherwise, your personal data will not be passed to anyone else, unless they are successors in title to our business or suppliers that process data on our behalf. We may also use and disclose information in aggregate (but so that no individual customers are identified) for marketing and strategic development purposes.

Other web sites

The site contains a mass of links to other sites, which are obviously outside our control and therefore will not be covered by this privacy policy. If you follow links to these site we advise you to check on the individual site’s privacy policy.

Our web site takes reasonable precautions to protect our users’ information by utilizing security measures designed to maintain data security and integrity. When you submit sensitive information, including financial information, via the web site, your information is protected both online and off-line.
